Christmas 2021 ( Scripture reading Matthew 1 and 2. Luke 1 and 2 )
The Message of the birth of the Messiah was universally announced and also proclaimed to all rank of humankind.
Nature heralded the birth. The stars proclaimed the message.
Stargazers ( wise men) from the east noticed it and endeavoured a long and tiring journey to witness and render honour to a newborn king
The Scriptures fortold the Message.
The Scribes and Pharisees educated in the interpretation of the Scriptures realized it and could even point in detail to the place of birth. They had the knowledge but din’t want to acknowledge him because he didn’t fit into their framework of thinking.
The politicians like Herod inquired from the scribes in fear for dethronement. He was so overwhelmed by fear that he ordered draconion measures which resulted in genocide of all newborns.
The Celestial world, the heaven’s angels proclaimed the message.
It was accompanied by celestial music and choirs.
Humble Sheppards heard the message and decided to rush to the scene. They proclaimed the message in Bethlehem.
Prophets and Priests proclaimed it since ancient times.
His people believed the message about Him who will be the Redeemer ( the one who will pay the Ransom to Gods Law, by sacrificing His life on the cross to reconcile estranged humans with God ) and Immanuel ( God with us ).
The Holy Spirit witnessed the message
with miracles, signs ans wonders, and inspired the prophets, Scriptures and Apostles .
Everybody took the message serious and acted on it, each in their own way.
Where do you position yourself.
Whether you are a King, politician, Sheppard, scribe, Pharisee,
Do you position yourself as a sceptic, antagonist, don’t care, persecutor or a believer.
How are you going to act on the message?
Christ the Messiah Seated in heaven, ready to come again, waiting for you to take your stand.
